Initial Setup
Authenticator App

1. Follow the on screen instructions to secure your account with 2FA
2. Enter the 6-digit verification code generated by the app
3. Enter your RentalPoint login password
4. Activate 2FA

2FA Control Panel
General Settings
Once at least one authentication method is set up you'll have access to the 2FA Control Panel where all 2FA settings can be managed.
1. Click on any method to expand configuration options for that method
2. Turn on
to ensure 2FA is used on every login attempt using your credentials
3. Click
to force 2FA on all devices even ones previously set as 'trusted'
4. Click
to disable 2FA for your login credentials
Backup Codes
Backup codes allow you to restore account access if all methods (i.e. access via app, email and SMS) are lost.
Download your backup codes to a safe place. Each code offers one time use, note- the comma separator between each code is not part of the code. If you have used all or many of your backup codes, click
to regenerate new 'one time use' codes.


Authenticator App - Replace a device or reset current device
Should you need to replace/adjust the device you have this app installed on, first access your 2FA settings

Expand app configuration

Then click
to add a new device via QR Code (after you enter your password)

OR
(TOTP - Time-based One-Time Passwords)

Turn off 2FA by Email
First access Manage 2FA

Then expand the 'Manage Email' option and ensure 'Use Email challenge' is OFF

To Modify 2FA by SMS (text)
First access Manage 2FA

Then expand the 'Manage SMS' option and click
